2. Conversion & Rendering Fidelity Tolerances

Portable Document Format (PDF, ISO 32000-1 / ISO 32000-2) specifications encompass extraordinarily complex typography engines, font subsetting tables, vector drawing commands, and compression streams.

While PdfPix utilizes modern WebAssembly engines (including PDF-Lib, PDF.js, and MuPDF/Tesseract ports) to maximize visual accuracy, 100% fidelity cannot be guaranteed for every document. Variations may occur due to:

• Unembedded or proprietary licensed system fonts (e.g. specialized CAD, architectural, or proprietary corporate fonts).
• Corrupt or non-standard PDF syntax produced by legacy scanners or outdated printers.
• Complex multi-layered vector illustrations, transparency blend modes, or mathematical formula glyphs.

You are solely responsible for inspecting and reviewing converted, compressed, or merged files prior to distribution or submission.

3. Electronic Signatures Legal Status

Our Sign PDF tool enables users to create drawn, typed, or uploaded signature stamps and affix them visually to PDF pages.

Under the United States Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (ESIGN Act), the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA), and European Union eIDAS Regulation (Regulation EU No 910/2014), simple electronic signatures (SES) are generally recognized for commercial transactions, provided both parties intend to sign and agree to conduct business electronically.

Notice: Certain sensitive legal transactions (such as wills, codicils, testamentary trusts, family court agreements, eviction notices, or government deed transfers) frequently mandate Qualified Electronic Signatures (QES) or wet-ink physical notarization. PdfPix does not issue cryptographic PKI digital certificates (X.509) or provide court evidentiary custody logs. Users must independently evaluate whether a simple visual signature meets statutory standards for their specific contract.

4. OCR & AI Summarization Accuracy

Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and machine learning summarization algorithms are probabilistic by nature. Output accuracy is heavily dependent on scan quality, DPI resolution, lighting angles, handwriting legibility, and language model limitations.

PdfPix makes no warranties regarding the complete factual accuracy or legal precision of extracted text or AI-generated synopses.

5. Preservation of Original Backups

Because all processing occurs within client-side browser memory, browser crashes, memory limits, or accidental tab closures will discard any unsaved work in progress.

Always maintain a secure, unedited backup of your original source files before performing destructive operations such as page deletion, redaction, or compression.
