At PdfPix, privacy is not a checkbox; it is our fundamental architectural foundation. Your documents are processed locally inside your browser and are never uploaded, stored, or mined.

Core PDF operations execute via WebAssembly in your browser. Document bytes never travel across external networks.

Zero File Retention

We have no databases, no user accounts, and no cloud file storage. When you close the browser tab, the data ceases to exist.

No Profiling or Selling

We do not sell, license, or monetize your personal data. We do not use third-party advertising trackers or ad networks.

This Privacy Policy governs the operation of PdfPix (pdfpix.uthakkan.in), an independent browser-based software suite developed and maintained by engineer Muhammed Ajmal U K under the UTHAKKAN product ecosystem.

2. How Your Files Are Handled

When you drag and drop or select files in tools like Merge PDF, Compress PDF, Split PDF, Redact PDF, or Sign PDF:

Files are read into memory using HTML5 File and Blob APIs strictly within your local browser process.
Computational algorithms execute using WebAssembly modules and Web Workers running on your local CPU.
The resulting PDF or image file is generated in your browser memory and offered directly as a local download.
No file payload is ever transmitted across an external internet connection to a server.

Notice regarding AI tools: If you deliberately choose to use optional experimental AI features (AI Summarizer or Translate PDF), text chunks from the document are securely sent via encrypted TLS to our serverless worker exclusively to fulfill the prompt. No text is retained, logged, or used to train public LLM models.

3. Information We Collect (And What We Don't)

A. Anonymous Aggregate Analytics

We utilize privacy-preserving edge telemetry through Cloudflare to monitor technical performance, bandwidth, page delivery speed, and server error codes (e.g. 404s). This data is aggregated and does not identify individuals or inspect document payloads.

B. Direct Inquiries

If you email us at contact@uthakkan.in, we collect your email address and message contents solely to respond to your support request, feedback, or sponsorship inquiry.

C. What We NEVER Collect

We do not collect names, home addresses, phone numbers, credit card details (all donations are handled externally via GitHub Sponsors / Buy Me a Coffee), or file contents.

4. Third-Party Advertising & Google AdSense Policies

To support free access to our tools and cover high-performance edge infrastructure costs, PdfPix may partner with third-party advertising networks, including Google AdSense.

A. Third-Party Vendor Cookies & Personalized Advertising

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve advertisements based on a user's prior visits to our website or other websites across the internet.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visits to PdfPix and/or other sites on the Internet.

B. Google DoubleClick DART Cookie

Google may use DART cookies for ad serving through Google's DoubleClick platform. These cookies place a cookie on your computer when you browse the web and visit a site using DoubleClick advertising. PdfPix does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. Our browser utilities process documents client-side and require no registration. If you believe a child has provided us with personal contact information via email, please contact us immediately for deletion.
